It’s been nearly nine months since the Bellagio poker room in Las Vegas was robbed at gunpoint, and local police are still searching for the suspect. In November, a man wearing a blonde wig and a “white covering” over part of his face approached a cashier’s cage in the casino’s 37-table poker room. He walked right next to ongoing cash games in order to reach the cashier. Armed with a handgun, the suspect stole an “indeterminate amount” of cash, police say.

Video footage did not show the man taking chips. The case “remains open and under investigation,” a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said Tuesday.
“There have been no arrests.” According to police, the white male suspect exited the casino and entered a stolen 2011 Silver Chevrolet Cruze. Police recovered the vehicle, but it didn’t lead to any arrests.
The spokesperson said the public can still provide information to police. “The detectives would appreciate the help,” the spokesperson said.

Authorities estimate his weight at around 170 pounds. Hollywood actor James Woods was present at the scene of the robbery, but didn’t witness the crime itself. He said that casino staff were “fantastic” in handling the incident. “They surrendered the money quietly, so no customers would get hurt,” Woods said on Twitter last year.

The gunman pointed his weapon at the cashier with his back to the room.” Poker Hall of Famer Todd Brunson was also playing in the poker room when the robbery occurred. He that he wasn’t able to buy additional poker chips in the wake of the incident.
